Freedom University is honored to be one of the recipients of the Emory Philanthropy Lab’s 2023 grant!

It was especially meaningful to receive the award on Emory’s campus, where we won our Freedom at Emory campaign in 2015, which granted admission and full financial aid to DACA students, and our 2017 Emory Sanctuary Campaign, which expanded admission and full financial aid to fully undocumented students within three months of the 2016 election.

As a result of Freedom University’s advocacy, and with the solidarity of generations of Emory student allies, hundreds of undocumented students have been granted admission to Emory University and we have paved the way for the modern desegregation of higher education in Georgia!
