Lorgia García-Pena, Ph.D.
Research and teaching interests: Latino and Latina Studies, Hispanic Caribbean literature and cultures, race and ethnicity theories. Lorgia served as a founding professor at Freedom University until Fall 2013, and currently serves as Assistant Professor of Romance Languages and Literatures at Harvard University.

Betina Kaplan, Ph.D.
Research and teaching interests: Contemporary cultural productions in Latin American Southern Cone, Literary and Cultural Studies, Service Learning. Betina served as a founding professor at Freedom University until Fall 2013, and currently works at Athens U-Lead and serves as Associate Professor of Spanish at the University of Georgia.

Bethany Moreton, Ph.D.
Research and teaching interests: Business, labor, and economic history; transnational Christianity; American conservatism. Bethany served as a founding professor at Freedom University until Spring 2014, and currently serves as Professor of History at Dartmouth College.

Research and teaching interests: History of Greater Mexico, transnational history, and the origins of democracy in the Americas in the Age of Revolution.
