Services
In addition to tuition-free classes, Freedom University also provides our students with select services crucial to their overall well-being. Specifically, we provide support services in three program areas: legal assistance, mental health, and emergency funding.
As part of our Legal Assistance Program, Freedom University has partnered with Kuck Baxter Immigration LLC to provide pro-bono legal representation for current students relating to DACA, TPS, and advance parole. Freedom University also covers the cost of the $495 DACA application fee.
As part of our Mental Health Program, Freedom University offers free monthly mental health workshops with a licensed mental health professional to help students learn healthy coping techniques to manage the daily stresses and trauma of living as an undocumented young people. Students seeking one-on-one services are referred to trusted low-cost mental health centers that provide culturally competent mental health services in the Atlanta area.
As part of our Emergency Funding Program, Freedom University works with community partners and foundations to provide emergency relief, such as the provision of food, medicine, PPE, and emergency funding to students and their families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
