“Freedom University is where you walk in undocumented and leave unafraid.”

-Jonathan

You Have A Human Right To Education

At Freedom University, we uphold Article 26 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states that everyone - by the virtue of their humanity - has the right to education and that higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit. While the state of Georgia violates this right under Policy 4.1.6 and Policy 4.3.4, Freedom University seeks to remedy this exclusion by fulfilling undocumented students’ right to education. We do this by providing students completely free, rigorous college preparation courses in a variety of academic disciplines and infusing principles of human rights and social justice into our liberatory pedagogy.

In return, we ask that students commit to weekly attendance and disciplined individual study, supporting their undocumented peers, and never giving up on their dreams of attending college. We also encourage our students to apply their education and deepened political consciousness in their daily lives in ways that advance the broader immigrant rights movement and contribute to the public good.

We provide free college-level classes to undocumented students.
