Freedom U Embarks on Sixth "FU Coronavirus" Grocery Run!

On Monday, Freedom University staff embarked on their SIXTH weekly "FU Coronavirus Grocery Run" to provide free groceries, medicine, and supplies to our 25 undocumented students and their families.

This week was incredibly special because our efforts were joined by Living Walls, Dashboard, and 8ARM restaurant, who provided 50 bags of fresh produce through 8ARM's Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program. Our students went home not only with their requested grocery lists, but with fresh and locally-farmed fruits, vegetables, rice, and eggs!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Monica, Maricela, and Beth, and all of the staff of Living Walls, Dashboard, and 8ARM for stepping up to support undocumented families in such a real and heartfelt way.

In all of the grief and uncertainty of these times, we are so moved by the outpouring of support from our local community and individuals who care about the health and well-being of our undocumented neighbors.
